I'm assuming that there aren't enough active volcanoes around.
Besides, big cities usually aren't built anywhere near a known active volcano (no one seems to want to live next door to a rumbling pile of lava for some odd reason), so it probably would be expensive & fuel consuming to haul trash to the volcano.

We would need to build a solar and wind powered conveyer belt network to transport the garbage to the volcano to make it energy efficient...otherwise the cost and pollution associated with transporting the garbage to the volcano would make it impossible. Also think about the number of jobs created in this plan!

Burning rubbish ability giving out DIOXIN and lot of alternative risky poisonous components; purely by way of fact the volcano is severe would not recommend they're going to sparkling, they're going to attain human beings, in one way or yet another (by using air, by using water, in the process the soil). this is the subject while human beings burn rubbish interior a city, like some insane human beings is doing in Naples... rubbish would properly be top burnt is particular centers purely; there are some places yet waiting for using rubbish as ability source (like they are doing in different worldwide places), yet no longer yet close to Naples, this is the super concern. rubbish set in bales waiting for this use are stocked, right here's a extensive quantity waiting, yet no centers close by for no less than a 12 months, yet.

Good idea we could use the illegal immigrants to walk up the side of the Volcano with the bags of rubbish.

Great idea, we could do a branch line in the Euro Tunnel, take it right under the volcano. it could take our rubbish, and the illegals coming from France

NO WAY!
How would you get that trash there? By truck? I won't drive it! By helicopter? Now that would be a BIG waste of money and fuel. Can you imagine the cost and massive waste of fuel to transport all our billions of tons of trash by helicopter?
And what is the other bird you are killing, besides getting rid of the trash?

That would be tons upon tons of garbage plugging up volcanoes and creating toxic gas in the atmosphere.

Well, Zippy that's an interesting concept. Wouldn't that be great if it were the answer to all our garbage problems. Who knows. Keep that brain of yours working. A can see a Pulitzer prize with your name on it.

The problem is that we produce so much garbage that it would choke the volcanoes. Then the presure would build up and the poor thing would explode, throwing our trash right back at us. :)

I have to say, it has crossed my mind once or twice.
The lack of active volcanoes in my neighbourhood represents a small problem, but nothing insurmountable.
