I heard on NPR this morning that San Francisco is considering a measure to ban plastic grocery bags. So you'll no longer get to choose between Paper or Plastic.

But wait...I thought San Franciscans were pro-choice???

I'm with Patrick, I think everyone should be relegated to BYOB or fend for yourself with leftover boxes and trays.

Back in the day of "Food 4 Less" in Gainesville, FL, that store would have you pack your own groceries...which would in part explain how they became "Food 4 Less" or as the college students called it "Beer 4 Cheap".

If my memory serves me well, the store had readily available boxes that would have otherwise been compacted in the back of the store.

People need to really re-evaluate what in their life they could reuse. They only need look to what people did during the Depression to get them started.

As my Lutheran grandmother used to say, "Waste not, Want not." How very protestant and true.

What a bunch of idiots, they want to ban a bag whose materials can be recycled an infinite number of times in favor of a bag made from trees whose fiber can only be recycled less than 5 times.

Maybe this explains why the AIDS rate is so high in Frisco, they don't like protective synthetic containers.
