why have people seemingly come to accept that its normal/ok for every piece of ground to have plastic crap floating over it?
why are parents and the culture generally turning out more kids who are selfish and superficial? is it that the parents themselves are losing their decency and respect for other people?
why are people not pressurising councils to make it a higher priority
there...that should be enough to get your teeth into!

Why isn't there just animals and food- why do some animals have to be food for others? Why weren't we all just designed to feed on things that grow on trees?

Not only does it seem unnecessarily cruel to give feelings to "food", but it also seems pointless that something designed to be eaten would have survivial instincts of their own, be scared and try to run away when they are being hunted. Wouldn't it be much easier (and nicer!) for all creatures if we were just programmed to eat stuff that didn't mind being eaten?

Sucking co2 out of the atmosphere?
i have been thinking recently about a story i heard a few years ago. a scientist in small rowing boat accidentally dropped a small beaker of iron solution of some sort in the water. within a very short space of time the entire ocean around him went thick with algae. he immediately thought, "oh no, i've destroyed the local environment i was here to study.". his second thought was, "wait a second, thats several thousand tons of co2 sucked out of the atmosphere.".

algae is an important part of the food pyramid and there is far too much co2 in the atmosphere. would it be feasable to send ships out to deep sea where iron levels are low and create large quantities of algae where lifeforms can feed on it boosting hopefully fish stocks and helping to offset the rising co2 levels.

i have also found out that algae can be harvested for its bio oil something like 50% of its mass.

can anyone give scientific answers to these ideas

Do you really think lettering is fine?
Do you think nothing will happen when you litter?
Do you wonder why we have globle warming?
Well if your answer to the first question'Do you think lettering is fine?" Was yes.. guess what you're wrong there is nothing to the meaning of fine when in comes to littering.
If your answer to the second question 'Do you think nothing will happen when you litter?' was "No nothing would happen." You're are wrong. Littering kills animals, and plants, which is all the life around us. When you litter the garbage on the ground can kill tree's and plants, we need tree's and plants for our oxygen to survive. No oxygen = Death... Do you wan't top die?? I don't think so...
'Do you wonder why we have globle warming?' If you are wondering one of the number 1 resons is littering, and cutting down tree's. Because you litter our summers are overly hot, and are winters are colder than ever... What spread this aroujnd. And tell me what you would do...

I have a problem: I seem to be the only one in my entourage to be worried about Earth's warming apocalypse. I try to force my wok colleagues or wife to recycle paper, or throw trash in recycling bans to almost no avail. I won't event comment on my family in Europe, for whom recycling is a dish of "fritata" (week's stew in an omelette) at best. How can I change their attitudes? How can I prevent myself from going MAD? Help.
