On the domestic level?
Clean it up or keep it clean... like litter.
Leave it alone, undisturbed...like camping, don't damage anything or leave a mess.
Don't drive so much... walk or carpool to lower emissions.
Buy local produce... think of the trucks hauling food over hundreds or thousands of miles.... pollution.
Don't buy packaged items if you can... Make your own soup with real veggies (that you can compost the scraps) instead of heating pre-made stuff that has a lot of salt in it too.
When faced with two items that are the same get the one with less packaging or at least recyclable packaging like cardboard.
Compost in your back yard or look into vermiculture (worms) if you are in an apartment. http://www.composters.com/docs/worms.html
Familiarize with environmental sustainability.

Convert your house to be more energy efficient... like turn the heat down a few degrees in the winter and wear a sweater or shut off the air conditioner in the summer and open the windows if it's tolerable.
Take it easy with the water use...don't have to water your lawn all the time... or take a quick shower not 1 hour. Pretend water is really valuable (which it is) Don't waste it.
There's so much more, as I'm sure others will provide more ideas.
Hope this helped
