Why is it that Antratica is way south,but really cold???
Do people even live there?

The same reason it is really cold way north in the Arctic: lack of direct sunlight due to the earth being tilted on its axis.
Yes, people are allowed to go to Antarcitica, however, I believe it is an internationally agreed limit as to how many persons can be there at a given time. The majority are usually research scientists and very limited tourists/visitors to provide funding income for the research going on.

Hi. Two reasons. First, the tilt of the Earth causes periods of darkness that can last up to six months. It makes for a very long winter. Second, also due to the Earth's tilt the Sun never gets high enough in the sky to make it warm.

No, people dont live there.. its not a good idea to.. and why would you? Only scientists stay there for research. Its because it is made of ice, and making it cold. Dosnt matter where a place is, just depends how and what it is..

cause the sun does not hit antartica directly and no and yes cause once a year some of the best scientist go there.

because it is far from the equator, it dosent get much heat from the sun because of the way the earth tilts, I dont think anyone lives there though
