Most of the mosquitoes disappear in day time.
1. What is the reason for its disappearance in day time? Is it heat and light alone or any other factor involved? I want to utilize this property to repel mosquitoes in night time.
2. Any method to prevent them from flying? Anyone has used high speed fan to carry them away from us? At what speed they fly? If so what axial speed of blowing with air is optimal?
3. Has anyone got method to make mosquitoes sleep longer time?
4. Any glue like attractant available?
5. Is there any other safe natural method to repel them?
6. Also welcome properties / behavior of mosquitoes.
7. Any results of experiment of its growth in good quality water/ brackish water may also be furnished.

Or am I the only one? I refer mainly to the folk who come on here and berate others for polluting the atmosphere and generally destroying the earth when they are using a PC which is powered by energy which - in the main - is produced by fossil fuels which harm the environment. I certainly hope these same do gooders never watch TV, drive anywhere, catch a bus, heat their houses, eat fast food or perform any other task/activities which would involve harming the environment. Surely only those who avoid all of these things have the right to criticise others?

Oh and as for the scientific proof behind all the global warming etc......would these be the same doom mongers who predicted mass death with bird flu and the SARS virus??

This corrosive, lethal when inhaled and major component in acidraid is continously being expelled by power stations and large industrial units. It's seeping into our rivers and streams, our reservoirs and is increasinly being attributed to the rise in sea levels!

what can we do about this problem?

Are you open to the idea of recycling more, and throwing away less, bying biodegrable and recylable products, using hemp instead of most other types of fabrics, composting(or not throwing in the garbage) biodegradable materials such as bannana peels, and apple cores, and driving low-emission vehicles to conserve the amount we waist?
