Just curious, You know the helicoper that flys over the neighborhood looking for the bad guys, I hear that if you stand under a pine tree the heat sensors can not detect you, if so how does that work?

I don't think that is absolutely true. If it is true, then maybe pine is a really good insulator of heat.

That's false. The only way that the heat sensors wouldn't be able to pick up on you is if you are surrounded by nothing but lead or another heavy and thick metal

False. They can see people inside buildings, and even tell what you doing to a certain degree.

What you can do is put out road-flares in other locations to "blind" the infrared by overwhelming it. This is similar to the old smuggling trick of packing your coke in mustard, or settign a booby-trap that releases amonia when the dogs get too close.

what an interesting question, does this mean bad guys are hotter than good guys and can it detect the difference between bad guys and bad gals and even bad dogs or bad cows and just think about bad elephants

the helicopter can pick up heat signals if your running from the police your body will show up. because your body is hotter than someone watching you go to jail

i think your body is much warmer than the tree... so would imagine they can still detect you using thermal imaging.
