Is it true that small animals can get their heads stuck in them and strangle themselves. I was told this and so I take the time to cut them into small pieces before putting them in the garbage Is this necessary or is it a waste of time? Do these end up floating in the ocean where animals can get a hold of them?

Channel straightening, bank raising or removal of connections to the rest of the flood plain all have an impact on the ecosystem of the river. In particular I am interested in New Zealand river and stream systems but I imagine the basic impact of this is the same anywhere.

In Chicago, Ill., USA we have zebra mussels clogging water intakes and displacing food sources for fishes. We have an asian beetle that is destroying trees that supposedly arrived in some wooden crates from overseas. We have an asian carp problem in the Mississippi River where they have no natural enemies and are displacing the native fish. I'm wondering about the situation all over, but in particular I am curious to know if american flora or fauna is causing problems somewhere else. thanks for your input.

i dont think so becuase we dont need our last molars and more people are being born with out the last set of molars...........is that evidence of evolution?
