Motor vehicles are our biggest cause for air pollution.
'Principal stationary pollution sources include chemical plants, coal-fired power plants, oil refineries, nuclear waste disposal activity, incinerators, large animal farms, PVC factories, metals production factories, plastics factories, and other heavy industry.'
'Ordinary municipal landfills are the source of many chemical substances entering the soil environment (and often groundwater), emanating from the wide variety of refuse accepted, especially substances illegally discarded there, or from pre-1970 landfills that may have been subject to little control in the U.S. or EU.'
'Pollution can also be the consequence of a natural disaster. For example hurricanes often involve water contamination from sewage, and petrochemical spills from ruptured boats or automobiles. Larger scale and environmental damage is not uncommon when coastal oil rigs or refineries are involved. Some sources of pollution, such as nuclear power plants or oil tankers, can produce widespread and potentially hazardous releases when accidents occur.

In the case of noise pollution the dominant source class is the motor vehicle, producing about ninety percent of all unwanted noise worldwide.'

Driving of cars release harmful gases that not only pollutes the air but also affects our health.
Oil spills-layer of oil coats the sea and will break up gradually but by then many marine lives are lost bcos the layer of oil blocks the marine creatures from getting oxygen, suffocating them and hence leads to polluting the sea
Littering
illegal dumping of waste into river or pavements.Effects of dumping in the river- contaminates the river, killing the plants and fishes living in the river.Effects of dumping on pavements-waste decomposes and give out methane-methane is highly flammable gas.If someone were to throw a lighted candle on it,the rubbish is likely to burst into flames, all these actions results in pollution.

Smog from burning fossil fuels, like coal, brought about the two a sort of and we would could locate an decision potential source to quit a minimum of a few of this pollutants and there is not any thank you to repair what we've already finished.

If we were to take an extreemist view, the answer would be everything. The consuming of anything will lead to polution. You must make it, grow it or mine it. Then you have to process it, and transport it. Then it gets further refined or processed into an end user type of product. Then it gets transported again. Then you transport your self to the store to buy it, and transport your self home again where you and your family consume it. Yes I know I over simplified that but its late and I'm tired of typing. There are those who say that after we consume it, we have gas and that contributes to greenhouse gasses. Methan has more insulating value than carbon dioxide. We heat our homes in winter, and that consumes fossile fuel. That in turn makes more polution because we needed to get it out of the ground, then we needed to transport it to a refinery, then we needed to distribute it to dealers who distributed it to you who burned it up. All that took energy and fuel.

The real question is how much is too much? There are massive amounts of sulfer dioxide being dumped into the pacific ocean. However man is not doing that. Mother nature is. Volcanos erupt and put massive amounts of ash (and lots of other things too) into the air. One eruption can put more sulfer dioxide into the air than all the cars combined in all the history of the automobile. So how much is too much?

when you drink water, where did it come from? how did it get there? Bottled water comes in a bottle that was made from the oil industry (plastic) and transported to a story in a semi truck that got about 3 miles to the gallon. If however, it was pumped out of a well, that means pipe made from a metal that was mined out of the ground (thanks to desiel fuel) and refined (using electricity thanks to coal)_and installed in your town and home and then pumped with electric power (again from coal) out of the well. So you see you can't even get a drink of water to a home without pollution. Even the envormental nut jobs can't do what they do without use of fossil fuels. You can't build a hydro electric plant without fossil fuels. You can't build a nuclear power plant without fossil fuels. So every envormentalsist who wants photo voltic power can't get it built without fossil fuels. Nor can they do windmills. Nor can they get a tooth filled at the dentist. Nor can they get medicine from a doctor. Nor can they enjoy the mirical of refridgeration.

Take an organic farm as an example. How do they get seed? how do they transport the goods? How do people transport them selves to get to the farm to buy the goods if the goods never leave the farm to go to a grocery store? How do they plow that ground?

So what about back in the days before civilization? There were not so many of us back then. To return to that would mean a bunch of folks have to die off. Are you volunteering? I'm not. Also we had a little trouble with some of the natural wild life. Turns out we did not get along with the saber tooth cats at all. We changed the environment to make it possible for us to have more humans on the planet. We did this by killing all the saber tooth cats. Seems we have been changing our planet for as long as we have existed. Why stop now? Look how far we have come.

Well that sums up my mindless ramblings. Its 3:00 am and I should have gone to bed long ago.
