I seem to remember reading or hearing that Ireland and Northern Ireland have only a fraction of the wild animals found in Great Britain. Is this true, and if so, what are the species that are found in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) that are not found in Ireland and Northern Ireland?

Scientists all the over the world mostly agree on one thing That Global warming is the sole reason for violent changes in climates for the past few years and for the foreseeable future. And we know that all the governments with americans leading the pack, would do nothing to stop it or even acknowledge it. What would you do or suggest so that we as a single human being can reduce the effect?

As for me, I try and take the public transport whenever possible. Use Bicycle when I need to travel less than 2 kms. Reduce electricity consumption in my home to optimum levels.

I would like to invite more suggestions on this topic.

If I want to change what I do and devote my remaining working life to making a difference, how should I go about this? I am not a scientist, but all my background has been about making change and making things happen in organisations. Should I contact Bill Clinton? Bill Gates? or the US Senator who I understand are all trying to make a positive difference in this area? Or what organisation should I join? I am not talking about making changes in my own lifestyle, (but I do already re-cycle seriously).

The US government, especially the forest service, is the most environmentally-degrading land-owning body I can think of. Do you think environmental quality in the US would improve if all public lands were auctioned off?

3200 SqFt home has two distinct areas served by two separate heat/AC systems. i wish to convert over to a geothermal system using two separate ground loops. I can
lay in 1000 feet of loop for each one. Is that sufficient, and what size poly pipe would be optimum for this purpose;
1 In., 1 1/4 In., 1 1/2 in, or 2 Inch? How far apart should I space the two lines?
