Are you open to the idea of recycling more, and throwing away less, bying biodegrable and recylable products, using hemp instead of most other types of fabrics, composting(or not throwing in the garbage) biodegradable materials such as bannana peels, and apple cores, and driving low-emission vehicles to conserve the amount we waist?

Or anything I havn't mentioned that would reduce how much we pollute and waist. Are you open to living more resourcefully?

Yes! That's what I want to go to school for, to learn how we can ALL do better for the environment. I think there are a lot of people out there who wouldn't do this, though, and a lot of people who would. Maybe if all the people who are really into this movement can get together somehow, we can really find a way to do something better. But after reading some answers to your question, I kind of agree about composting: we don't need critters coming and eating out of our backyards - it's not healthy for either them or us. Plus, when we put compost into the garbage, maybe it'll help the rest of the trash decompose? Maybe?

YES!! i absolutely love my compost pile! My hubby and I are going to be building a bin type of one to make it more assessable for potting soil.

I also live in a city with one of THE best recycling programs. I know for sure the best in the county.... Makes it easier because all you have to do is toss what even in the bin and they take care of it from there.... no washing the jars, making sure the stuff is clean.... which is REALLY nice because many people won't recycle if they have to do more than having a separate bin.

Also, alot of my shirts are made from recycled coke a cola bottles.... and for the cloths that are not, i "recycle" them to the good will and other stores like that... that way they are used again and not thrown away.

Alot of my washing products are organic too (mostly hemp) you would be surprised at what the male cannabis plant can make.

I already have! I can't afford a hybrid car yet, but I drive a lot less. I recycle as much as possible and try to buy stuff in recycled packaging, with very little plastic. I'm working on getting our house to be as "Passive", energy-wise as possible.

I refuse to compost, as our neighborhood is full of nasty critters w/rabies (like raccoons, possums and skunks), who LOVE the chewy goodness of compost! I figure, that stuff will biodegrade on its own, adding to the soil eventually and giving rise to forests. If I ever can have a garden, then I'll do it, but not until then. (If you keep it inside, you get mice and even rats!). Sorry!

Living a little ways away from the city, composting is just an invitation for little critters to come into your yard at night. And, I have no idea what hemp is, but otherwise I do what I can to be more environmentally friendly.

I am definitely open to this idea but it has to be cost effective too. In Pakistan we are using Compressed Natural Gas as an alternate fuel to petrol and diesel. It is more environment friendly and also cheaper.
