For students like me, education is the most important thing. Students know that's important so they try to get educational knowledge from school. But, there are some students whose not trying to do study or seems to them school is bored. THe reason is maybe those students are lazy. But, the main reason could be the wrong educational system, that made students are not doing well in school. In "School is Bad For Children", John Holt states that students come to school with excitement, anticipation. But later, students more become passive, lazy under the educational system. Same as in my own country, South Korea, need to have some improvements to make better educational system. Entrance exam should not be the ultimately important, No more after-school tutoring, and promote the Gardner's methods.

Entrance exam should not be ultimately important, no more after-school tutoring, and promote the Gardner's theory will make the educational system better. Those three systems will benefit students so students feel easier in the educational system. Educational system can't be perfect, but can benefit students. That's what the purpose of Education stands on; to benefit students.

I'm trying to look at this from a legal standpoint, as the Assistant Principal and Principal have given a verbal directive for teachers to remove Bibles from their desk or bookshelf. And I'm not sure if this is violating a freedom of expression or religion. Could someone get fired for not following such a directive?
Thank you for whatever help you may provide

I teach second grade. We had a substitute today because I had a training on the base. Anyhow, one of the kids in my class who is lactose intolerant had a bowel movement on himself and from what I've heard from the teacher next door to me, the sub complete FREAKED OUT.

She started yelling at my student and got really frantic. She had the student clean up the diarrhea (even though his pants were covered in mess) before letting him go to the nurse.

I've never had this situation happen to me before, so I'm not sure how I would have reacted or if she acted appropiately.

I have over 13 years experience as an Instrutional Aide, Tutor Substitute Teacher, and a couple non-profit agencies. I have majored in Criminal Justice, Child Development and Special Education. For my credential, I passed all the coursework and required tests. But due to unfavorable circumstances beyond my control, I didn't get my student teaching requirement. So, I have no credential. I have applied for non-teaching and classified positions, but to no avail. I have been in Education for so long and that is what my resume shows. I have even tried other fields like management, student services, career placement, social services etc., To no avail. I do not have the right Degree or specific experience that requires. For now, I am going back to Subsitute Teaching and getting my Child Care permit. People say to follow my heart. That is in teaching, but I do not know how to go about it at this point. Can I qualify for an county internship or teach at a different type of school? Please help.

My history class is very boring. All we do is write vocab, do worksheets, and read the chapters in the book outloud. Then when we have tests we have to write longggg essays and he is very specific on it. Then in my math class we have homework almost every single night. All we do in class is go over the bellring, review the previous nights homework, and sometimes do some notes. She hardly ever teaches us anything. We had 43 grades (mainly hw) last 9 weeks. Then in my science class we do the same thing literally every single day. Copy down notes from the board, write vocab, answer questions from the book, and do worksheets. The only time we do anything different is on test days. Then my english class is BORING. All the teacher does it talk about pointless stuff. She gets off topic and its so annoying. I hate my classes.

I just realized that I sent home my students social studies test and forgot to put them in the grade book. I only had 4 kids get B's and the rest for C's,D's,and F's. I was allowing them to do extra credit to boost their grade. Should I ask for the tests back tomorrow or because they didn't do so hot just use the extra credit for their grade? I am a first year teacher so I am just curious.
