What is needed to be a teacher in US public schools?

My sister is an elementary teacher in SouthAmerica, she has a masters degree. What would she need to be able to work in the US?

u don't need a masters but u get paid more if u do

It depends on the state. Some states require a Masters degree but most require just a Bachelor's degree.
