i am 68 a electronic tech by trade.. no work for us.. i am attending the camden county vocational school for electric technoology.i have been there since september. and the room is full of people sleeping and raising hell. i complained to the teacher and no results.. told me the school gets money for each student.. finally a week or so ago i wrote to the principal in the school and the one stop about not being able to learn.. after this the teacher said to me i am no longer his friend.. and that i should have moved to the front .then he tells the class that i am the cause of the new rules and that he does not like to do this. putting me in jepordy if someone wants to get even.. the principal said that the hats had to be removed no cell phones.. no talking during the lecture.. no throwing objects no bad language.. also i am reminded pubically that i am getting the course free and i should not complain..then when i tried to talk about telling him first he denied this to the principal..

I don't mean personal contact. I mean who are the best shoe danglers or dippers you ever had as teachers? What did they do? What kind of shoes? How were the toes pedicures? Socks or Nylons as the hosiery. Thanks for the input!

Is there a study guide out there that conveniently covers all the material on the syllabus? I lost some of my math notebooks from college and I am a bit rusty on some of the material on the syllabus.

I am in grade ten (Ontario,Canada), and find the math extreeeemely easy. I know I'm young, but are there any good sites (free..hehe) that are extremely good at teaching calculus...I am interested in trying it out, even if I do ultimately find it too complicated. (I've already taken a peek at wikibooks...but I would prefer something else. Also it would be nice if the site offered pre-calculus as well:)) Thanks!

Because, after all, all science is is a fact that was based off a guess in the first place, right? So everytime they find something new all it is is a guess based on a guess based on a guess based on a guess and so on and so forth. So why can't they talk about religion-related theories too, like how the earth was made according to the bible as well as teaching us what scientists think?

I am a kid and i have so much homework. My teacher is really not stopping. We have so much to do and i am only in grade six.i think that teachers should talk to each other so there students have enough time for each assingment, and that there are no test or different assingments due on the same day.

to tell parents of a child that they should be held back in the middle of the year. When they haven't even given the child the whole year to prove themselves. And if the parents were to agree and sign the paper to hold them back, would the teacher just give up on that child for the rest of the year?

I am a history teacher and it is hard to get the students interested in the subject these days. I also need to think of new ideas and activities for the students. Does anyone have any ideas?

... it's bloomin' rubbish!
I love the actual teaching bit but the rest of it is pretty awful. There are so many stats and bits of nonsense paperwork to do. The forms and educational reforms are endless, the meetings are pretty pointless and you have very little autonomy over what you actually teach.

The kids don't have any respect either because they know that teachers are powerless to help them. Often their parents don't care about their education either.

I really, REALLY wanted to make a difference by teaching but now I'm not sure I can stick it.

Would you be a teacher??
