No... I don't think the teachers really "hate" their students. There may be long, stressful days that put the teacher on edge. But a good teacher is able to recognize the "good" days and remember why they became teachers in the first place.
If your teacher seems extra stressed or unhappy, do a kind gesture to let them know you care. Volunteer to help out, convince your classmates to calm down, write them a thank you note, etc. Little things can brighten your teacher's day and make it better for the both of you.

A lot of students like to convince themselves that the teacher hates them...gives them an excuse when they fail the class.
For most teachers, here's the thinking: If you're there in class just taking up space, not contributing to the discussion, and basically just being a troublemaker, of course the teacher won't like you. "Hate" is a strong word, but I'm sure the teacher probably smiles to herself everyday you don't show up.
Other than that, no....the teacher doesn't hate them. Why would they? If a bunch of students want to waste their free public education, go ahead....live happy, be ignorant. In the end, they still get paid. =)

In the US we have had about two decades of political correctness and this nonsense where all students are supposed to be advanced whether they can do the work or not. Hence, the huge explosion in private schools where parents can find out if their child is being educated or just made to feel good at whatever level, like a never ending daycare. At around the junior year of high school they start to wonder how the system must have failed their child because they never learned anything and have dim prospects for college, where you are supposed to pass classes, or technical training where math skills might be important. The whole idea that students and their parents sit around wondering if the teacher hates them probably stems from the teacher expecting some kind of progress and work. The questioner has no command spelling or grammar and thinks that maybe the teacher hate him/her. My guess is the teacher is trying to get you to learn something and you are not interested, only in touchy feely feelings and warm fuzzy sayings. Get off your butt and at least learn to spell. God I hope you are not in high school.

Most teachers are pretty smart people who could be making more money elsewhere doing something else.
But they've chosen to teach because they like being around young people.
Something to realize is that different teachers have different "teaching personalities." Some teachers adopt this persona of being a real hardnose, mean person so that their students will be too afraid to act up.
I have a good friend who is a teacher who adopts that. He LOVES his students, and he loves when they learn. But he truly believes that if he relaxes, he'll lose the respect of his students and they won't learn as much.
That's just it. Teachers want their students to LEARN. If they aren't learning, they blame themselves and bum out. If you really want your teacher to relax and be nicer, study hard and help everyone learn.
I don't know any of my colleagues who hate their students. They may strongly dislike a student or two who are especially mean, but as a whole we love students.
If we didn't, we wouldn't choose to spend our days with kids!
Your teacher isn't meant to be your friend. She's your teacher. You have tons of friends.

I use to teach before I retired. I miss it something terrible. I loved all my students. Yes, even the ornery ones :) I have fond memories and wish I could turn back the hands of time. If I had it to do over again... I would. To answer your question..... I think I could honestly say 95% of grade school teachers love each and every one of their students. I taught grade school. Now for Middle School and High School, I don't think any teacher "HATE" any of their students. But I am sure there are times they have their "likes" and "dislikes".

Teachers don't hate their students. They do what is right for them by trying to help them learn.
If I let you put your feet up on the desk, answer your cellphone, go to your locker whenever you feel like it, let you take the subject off topic, give you extra nights to get old work done, etc....then you will like me.
If I want you to learn to be disciplined, learn the necessary material, and pass the course, then you may not like me now, but I will do what I think is in your best interest for your future.
