High school classes in history is not a prerequisite for you to teach history. What matters is what you will take up in college and since you want to teach history then take BSE and your major should be in history. By taking high school history classes it will help you in college.

You need to take the classes necessary to graduate from High School. Then when you go to college find out what courses you need to get your teachers degree and concentrate on History. After that it would be a good idea to get your Masters degree.

Your high school classes are not going to matter a whit when it comes to getting a job as a history teacher. They make look good when you're trying to get accepted to college, if it shows dedication to the subject, but no one is going to hire you because you did or didn't take a certain class in high school.

Doesn't matter. College classes do. High School Histery classes might make college histery classes easier though. In my area, you have to coach something to teach history.

Speak to someone who can go
over your records with you. Most
likely your counselor...they will
be able to tell you want you have
taken and what you still need.
