I feel that there are alot of people who are new with computers, such as myself.. I've come along way, since I first got mine, I feel.. But, I wish they had more sites, for like beginner, users.. More help sites, or easier, self explanatory pages, for us new users.. I've had some really bad experiences, with alot of frustrations,,involved... stemmed from being new, at my computer, and not having anyone, at home to help me, figure things out.. I even have other sites, I've started, that I've had "Drain-Brain" discouragemented results from...that are still just sitting there, without weeks of any responses, back from me, stemmed from lack of help from computer site- people, (employees), am I the only one, going through these frustrations? I wanted to meet new people, even, on 360, and uploaded all my family photos, etc... They wanted me to view, what I uploaded, and there was nothing there, to view.. I know i did everything right!! I just wanted to cry, because, of the time spent......

Im a little bitter with growing up in a world where, nothings as it seems. I did not quit comprehend that people could die intill i lost a good friend back when i was 7 yrs old. I know that its a bit wierd to tell your children that we are all going to die someday, I just remeber being very lonley and bitter after that fact sunk in. I wished i had a parent or a teacher to talk too. but now that We all have kids, i understand why you want to protect them. you just want to make there world bright lights and rainbows. how do you teach the facts of life without making it a big depresing speech??

Since the advent of computers it seems that we are writing less with pen and paper. I am thinking that handwriting may soon become "Art" and any one who wich to learn "Handwriting" will have to attend special institutions.

I'm a qualified schoolteacher living in the UK with a PGCE in teaching modern foreign languages from Cambridge University. I have two years experience teaching French, Spanish and Russian in a secondary school. I have a possible private student wanting to learn Portuguese, how much do you think I should charge per hour. (I have two years experience living in Brazil and my Portuguese is as fluent as you could wish from a non-native speaker) This is my first private student - I don't want to charge too much, but I also don't want to charge so little that it looks unprofessional.

What do you think about a teacher who won't say anything about their personal life, refuses interviews (even for the school newspaper) and doesn't like to have his picture taken. Meanwhile, this individual is very respected and outspoken, and his students think very highly of him. Do you think he is just that way, or is he hiding something?

According to Wikipedia, filmstrips were shown mostly to the baby boomer generation schoolkids of the U.S. and U.K. Coronet Instructional Media was one of the leading producers of filmstrip presentations, and science constituted one of the leading subjects.

The instructor would turn on a film projector that would show the first slide. The instructor would, then, turn on a 33 RPM record or cassette tape, containing narration. At the appropriate point a tone would sound, signalling the instructor to advance to the next slide.
