In the II World War, Germany, Italy and Austria-Hungary formed the Triple Alliance in 1895, while on the other side, Britain, France and Russia formed the Entente Cordiale in 1907. They were called Allies. But when the war began, Italy, with a view to get more territories, joined the Allies in 1915. Germany and France were called Central Powers. During the course of the war, Bulgaria and Turkey joined the Central Powers. So, during the war, Germany fought with the Allies- Britain, France and Russia.

The major Axis powers in World War 2 were Germany, Italy, and Japan. Japan didn't really play in the European theatre but it was a major part of the Axis.
For a time, the USSR was allied with Germany, but that alliance crumbled near the begining of the war and as a result, the USSR allied with England, France, and (eventually) the US.

Other powers that were allied with Germany did so primarily because they had been allied with them in the past (see World War I). These countries include Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Croatia, Thailand and Finland. Some of these nations (ie Romania) later allied with the Allied forces during the war, while others (ie Slovakia) were later basically annexed by Germany because they were resisting the alliance.

Finally, there were the countries that fought with Germany only because they were dependant on (or had been annexed by)Germany prior to the begining of the war or in it's early stages. These countries include Albania, the Belarusian Central Rada, Belgium, Ethiopia, Lokot Republic, Luxemburg, Manchuria, Mengjian, Nanjing, the Provisional Government of Free India, Ostland, Ukraine, and Vichy France. Many of these countries had some resistance towards the German occupation. Poland was technically annexed by Germany in the begining of the war, but it is still considered to have been allied with the Allied forces.

Who fought WITH? AS in alongside of Germany? IF that's your question, then I'd have to say: Italy and Austria. Ican't remember who else. Yo ushould try looking it up yourself sometime. As for who fought AGAINST Germany, tha would be: Great Britain, USA, Canada, France, Russia, and a few others that I can't think of at the moment. Like I said earlier, look it up yourself.
