I've done plenty of test-teaches where I've had to do things like this. The KEY is to organize things so things flow smoothly and people can easily follow along.

Start by introducing yourself and stating your overall objective. Then begin your lesson. If you have a computer there, you can refer to it by pointing to various parts and then briefly discussing it. If students have them, I would suggest making them look at their own machines to get them directly involved.

Perhaps you could use a handout or PowerPoint slide showing the various ports and their functions.
