OK my child in 4Th grade brings home more homework than i have ever seen. Do you do work in school? Spelling word + work sheet, math work sheet and reading 30 minunets. Then write a sentence on what you read. On top of a project that is due in a few days. They say HW should only take a hour. I would like you to come sit at my house and be with me that hour. LOL... After all day at school the last thing anyone wants to do is hw. I think you just want to see if we know the stuff as parents then grading them on what we know . So please tell me y so much ?

I.E. 50% for tests, 20 % for projects, 10% for notebook organization, 10% for journal, and 10% for community service. We are trying to figure her grade so far for the 1st 3 weeks of school and have no idea how to do it. He's kind of impatient so we have to get it on our own. I am going to drop out and get my GED around may of next year and i am planning on taking the ACT next summer... I was wondering I could attend college in the fall of next year..considering i will only be 16...i want to attend berea college.....which is in Ky...does anybody know if this possible? and if anyone knows a college that will except me in ky while only 16 please include that as well

Writing makes my hand hurt. I'm good at doing papers, but when we have to actually write them in class, the quality of my writing suffers near the end of a paper because my hand hurts so bad. I normally end up rushing through the last part so I can get done and the pain will stop. But I could type all day on a keyboard...does anyone else think they should let you type an essay if you want to? They could keep an eye on you to make sure you're not googling your essay and stuff.

Okay so I was born in America and living there until 2004 meaning I couldn't finish high school because I had to move out of the country(no, I didn't get deported). My question is could I still get into Job Corps meaning I could just move back and go there?

okay, every time i have homework, i always spend like, no joke, 9 hours on it, while everyone spend like 4 hours on it and has fun. i can't help but re-read everything 8 times becomes i'm so afraid i don't understand it the first time! then, my social life, sleep schedule and everything else i want to do is seriously hindered because i spend so much time on homework!!! can you get the same grades by reading your textbook chapter once and reviewing it for the quiz and being done with it? if i knew that i could do the homework once and get the same grade, i'd be fine. please helpppp!!!! :( :( :(((((

Am in the 11th grade, I'm 15 years old turning 16 in about 4 months and I want to continue high school in Germany. Is that possible? Are there scholarships and so or am I on my own?
How does this whole thing happen? What are the pros and cons? (Excluding the language, since am learning German on a daily basis)

I speak English, Arabic and Hebrew. Learning German intensely.

::sigh:: three years ago, i was devastated that i didn't get any offers to go to boarding school... but then i made friends with wonderful people in high school, have a great best friend and i was grateful i didn't go to boarding school.... but this year, i have this big exam that is quite important and could get me in boarding school...

so, now, i'm confused... do i want to go to a boarding school? is it really better there? coz i heard the older people always bully the new ones.. but people said that the teachers there are better than the school near my house... many people scored straight A's there... also, there's the fact three siblings before me went there... and the teachers are also really good at predicting the upcoming exam questions... (which is why i think the students perform so well)

i live in malaysia where academics is really important for a bright future.. but, it's not as bad as in singapore i heard...

i hope u all can help me with my dilemma here.

I have asthma extremely bad and i believe im allergic to something at my high school....i have good solid facts to assume this...so im considering dropping out and getting my GED...I am a dedicated student and have made good grades all years of my schooling...until i got in highschool and then i had to go on homebound and my county has a horrible program so i failed...this year im back but my problem is starting all over again....What I want to know is Do I Have to have both parents signatures and how long do i have to wait to get my GED after i drop out?...also i cant get my license with a GED can I?....I am completly dedicated to getting somewhere in life..but this schools enviroment obviously is going to hold me back..so i just want to get on with my life and try to succeed in something else...but i have every intention of a higher education....will this ruin my chance for college?I go to lincoln county high school...if that helps any
