I dare say your estimate is low. Ask yahoo what their demographics indicate. There are many persons on answers who have not only primary and secondary education, but also have undergraduate and graduate educations. Though I have seen people asking and answering questions related to their own fields of education with obvious problems with spelling, typing and grammatical writing.

Spelling and English on this forum are pretty dire. It just shows what damage has been done over the years by the brigade of self expression and never mind the spelling etc.
