OK my child in 4Th grade brings home more homework than i have ever seen. Do you do work in school? Spelling word + work sheet, math work sheet and reading 30 minunets. Then write a sentence on what you read. On top of a project that is due in a few days. They say HW should only take a hour. I would like you to come sit at my house and be with me that hour. LOL... After all day at school the last thing anyone wants to do is hw. I think you just want to see if we know the stuff as parents then grading them on what we know . So please tell me y so much ?

Many teachers simply don't care IMO, for they are not the ones who have to do the HW...I'm in highschool and the amount of HW I received last year was RIDICULOUS !!! Then they would not even check the HW when I did it, but when I slipped up and missed the assignment they'd be sure to say "put your HW out for me to collect it" LOL

to make sure that with help from the teacher they can understand what they taught.OR they had been bad and they need a reminder that if they mess arround in school the work in school still needs to get finished. cim only 12 and i can answer that im in middle school.they try not to give us to much homework but cationaly we get alot....but hey 8 teachers x 20 minits of homework for 1 teacher thats not alot but we gotta do 8 teachers =(

I teach first grade and I only give homework three days a week. Tueday -Thursday and it is only a sheet or two....I don't know why they overload kids. Kids need a break sometime.
