This is a stupid debate i have to do in school but this is the topic!

Should People at the age of 14 be allowed to finish school! I am for it i want to do a tally in the next 5 mins and please tell me if u agree or not and also could u tell me a reason why!

daughter is in 5th grade-- what are some good and easy websites she can use to help with homework--- history, social studies.... stuff like that.

I'm a teacher and I'm just wondering. I've heard about student-led conferences using powerpoint slides but I'm not really sure how to that with kindergartners. Did it work for any of you?

I am dealing with a bullying mentality that is not just supported in the home but also acted upon by the parents to the extent of intimidating other peoples children themselves. Approaching them both on and off school grounds. I have liased with the school and the police to determine weather im in the wrong and my children are doing the bullying and it is not the case...so with the avenue of the "hysterical over protective mother" explored i am left feeling totally victimized and unsupported by an education system and a legal system that appear to be supporting the behaviour of bullies!

I'm not sure if our schools have stopped teaching English or I'm over 30 and don't understand the horrible effects text messaging has had on our youth -- I just read this and wanted to throw up:

my bf been weird to me. We still talk on the phone. He behave really werird to me in front of his friend, he dont care and talk to me in front of his friend. Yesterday i call him and ask him do he still love me and he say yes without 2 mins. Then he is busy. what do he really mean he love me or not? If not, y do he lie?

my face turns bright red i stumble and cant think straight, how can i get over all the scaredness and just be myself, i can talk in front of lots of people casually but when i have to stand at a podium in front of a class i freak out and get lots of anxiety, how can i stop this?? anyone? p.s. picturing them naked wont help

Please help. Next year my dad wants to send me to a private catholic high school just because he went to one and because they supposedly had "better" grades and all. which is probably true but i make all A's. my mom and i both think it's bull. I told him I dont have any friends at the private school and he said that if they are truly my friends they will stay my friends. yeah right ill hardly get to talk to them. What should I say to my dad so he will let me stay at the public school.
