I'm not sure if our schools have stopped teaching English or I'm over 30 and don't understand the horrible effects text messaging has had on our youth -- I just read this and wanted to throw up:

my bf been weird to me. We still talk on the phone. He behave really werird to me in front of his friend, he dont care and talk to me in front of his friend. Yesterday i call him and ask him do he still love me and he say yes without 2 mins. Then he is busy. what do he really mean he love me or not? If not, y do he lie?

The bad news is that our schools have stopped teaching English, geography, and history. Kids know all about the social problems in West Gibru, but can't find the USA on a world map.
They can't even make change at MacDonald's.
Our schools have gone down the toilet.

ooo i feel a lil sorry 4 u, just cuz it sux bein outta da loop. lol. No really its just a side affect of texting because we have had to figure out new abbreviations in order to fit more into a single text message n therefore get charged less and/or make what little credit u have go further. Try learning some of the abbreviations, it might not be such a foreign language then. btw I'm closer to 30 than 13 and i can make sense of it all.

Apparently, the curriculum has been changed---typing is out, along with spelling. Speaking "Street" is the new language lab.

I agree, its pathetic. How hard is it to spell and speak correctly?
The questioner you quote sounds like she is missing part, maybe half, of her brain!
