Absolutely. Without exams how are we able to determine whether the person is qualified to enter the next level or not.
I have always hated exams but i never deny tht exams are useless, its very important.

Absolutely not. I think that exams, standardized tests, etc., just prove how well you take a test and not how well you know the material. Now I am sure some are decent, but as for the standardized and such, no. What kind of exams are you talking about?

Exams are the only universal form of evaluation. Other alternatives like attendence and participation evaluation are not accepted for most purposes. So they are good as per this criteria.

If exams are a tool for comparing one student with another I think it fails in its purpose. However it should be viewed as a benchmarking tool for oneself. Thus if one fails to qualify in an exam it means he/she needs to put in more effort to understand the topic.

I think it depends on the kind of exam.

I'm not really fond of multiple choice exams, because people will tend to cheat on those the most often. I like the question and answer format, because that is a better assessment of how much you studied for the exam.

Exams, it is usual not only in the period of studying, after this period we have to face a lot of exams in our life.

Don't waste your time, prepare your mind to face anything that happens to you.

Wishing you a happy and prosperous future

It is good bcoz exam are the best way to evaluate how much u know about the subject. It's no point continuing with the subject if one don't know antthing about the subject.

It depends on what it is that you are trying to evaluate. For very basic factual information they may be helpful. However, if you are trying to figure out whether students understood complex ideas and whether they can apply them to certain situations then longer essay questions and take-home writing may be better. (I guess this all also depends on how you define an "exam".)

Yea... i think exams are gd as they let students roughly know their standards and will push them to work harder ... without exams students will not know where they stand and might not even bother to work hard

Cheers !
