Being made to do something you don't want to do and it makes you feel bad aobut yourself as you have compromised your values. It doesn't have to be illegal it can just be something you personally don't want to do.

Peer pressure is when the people you are surrounded by on a regular basis make you feel as though you need to be doing something, otherwise you won't fit in and may make you feel as though you aren't part of the group or risk losing their friendship, respect or otherwise looked upon in a negative way. In the big picture, you should do what you feel is right as these people most likely will have no bearing on your life and you will be the one that has to live with your decision, such as smoking or doing drugs.

All your peers including your kith and kin would have an eye on you to put you down becoz you are beautiful or talented or intelligent or for anythign similar like that, so that you would turn moody and would sit and think how to tackle them. Either you will fight the game if you are smart, or you will loose it.

Winning is like ignoring them and keep on doing your good works and be popular among your crowd alone without mining about your damn bad friends or relatives who are giving you the pressure to do odd things or to do actions what you think might satisfy them and get popular among this peer crowd. If you win, then you are the king; but this is not easy and needs a lot of patience and maturity.

Loosing would be like, to show them you are popular and attractive, or rather to escape from the pressure, you would pick out the easy cheapest thing available on the earth to show that you are happy with what you have selected to overcome them. Say for instance, you might select a bad partner and have sex with him as soon as he suggested, just to relax, find a bad friend who offers you addictive drugs or stuff like that which will give you a false euphoric effect, falling into bad company and get acquainted with bad knowledge, surfing the pornos to relax etc.,
You might not be even knowing what for you are doing this, but your mind would be just focussed to escape from those who are making fool of you or trying to show that still you are the hero and you are happy even though they are not recognizing you. This is the usual end for many who face the peer pressure.

There is another instance also like you are forced to do what your peer groups do, like drinking and fuckign though you are not from that category and you and your conscience knows well that you are doing wrong.

But what I suggest is, just stick to the family values and goodness and your own religion, even if you are looking small in your Peer group, one day you will definetely reap the consequences out of it, which would be very immense and wonderful.

peer pressure is like when "what peers do decides what you gonna do"

So if someone goes to college and he/she likes to study certain things or persue a certain carrier, he/she find that most of his/her friends have taken a different course or feel that its stupid to persue the certain carrier....that this someone changes his/her mind ...inspite of the fact that none of the factors that made
him/her choose those things in the first place have changed.

There are still worse things peer presure can do. But also such pressure can help you to improve yourself...to study right things...and be up to date.

Friends or actually acquaintances, trying to talk you into or implying that if you do something that your gut is telling you not to, it will make you better or feel better. If you know that what ever they are asking is going to cause you harm in some fashion or form, but they continue to insist, even after you have said no, that is peer pressure. being put on the spot and not wanting to do something often makes you feel left out of the group (crowd) trust me their can be worse things than fitting in, like fitting in and sacrificing your values, morals or health, just to please others.

Peer pressure is a feeling that you will appear to be uncool or immature in front of people at or near your own age when asked to do something you really don't want to do. It is especially strong if that hot looking girl or guy you want to go out with is there and they are participating in the thing you do not want to do.
