I'm trying to come up with a good solid fundraiser so that my club, Ohio Model United Nations can raise money to go to conferences.

I am the Room Mom in my daughter's kindergarden class. I am responsible for all the parties and such. As a parent would you prefer to send things to parties?(cookies , plates, food, ect.) Or, would you rather send money ($5 per party) and let the room mom buy all the stuff? Also, if you want to send things would you prefer a note with a list of things we need or a phone call requesting items?

Hi I moved to England a year ago.I've been at school since year 7.
But since I started school I've been bullied to the point of food being thrown at me and being called the American idiot.Has anyone else had this problem?or any thing they can say about school.

I have been put into an English class which I don't feel comfortable in, been the victim of some minor bullying, and I'm finding the work relatively easy. Recently the head of year in my school gave me warning for my hair and how long is it. They said if i dont get it cut i will get a detention everyday until its cut. WTF Man my hair is not that long (its almost like my avatar). Is the school allow to force you to change your looks! This school rule is pretty f*cked up......along with many others........What should i do?

Parents are more focused on how their children develop academically, rather than allowing them to play, develop an imagination, and just plain have fun. Having said that, my son is going to kindergarten next year, and people have told me that I have a lot of work to do with him in regards to his academics before he will be ready to go. What should he HAVE to know before he goes? I'm not going to push Algebra on a 4 year old to get him into school.. I'm talking what he HAS to know.
He knows all his colors and can point them out. He can count to 20 and point out the numbers from 1-10 when asked. He can write his name, Mom, Dad, and his brother's name. He knows all his letters and can point them out when asked. He knows the shapes.. circle, triangle, rectangle, square, heart, oval, trapezoid, rhombus, octagon ( working on pentagon, hexagon and septagon ) .. and he can draw them all when asked. Is there anything else that he HAS to know? I'm not taking time from him being a kid.
