Hi I moved to England a year ago.I've been at school since year 7.
But since I started school I've been bullied to the point of food being thrown at me and being called the American idiot.Has anyone else had this problem?or any thing they can say about school.

I think the reason why the british hate the americans so much(not all of them, i don;t :-). ) started when the iraq war kicked off and the blue on blue had happened.

i work with the american army and they all say the same that US brits hate them...not always the case.

i'm deeply sorry for you and your not the only in your shoes so don't be down hearted...ok....

chin up

Well, its not because they're English, or because you're American, it's because they're idiots and you're just in the wrong school. I'm from South America and I haven't seen any racist attacks or bullying towards me, since I got here, But my brother got bullied (by ignorant teachers mostly) at the first school he went to when we first arrived, he was 9 years old, so we just spoke to the council, moved him to a different school, and the teachers and everyone else have been great thank God, (my brother's 14 now).

So just move to a different school if the teachers and school staff are doing nothing (or next to nothing ) to help you, get them to put you in a different section, or something like that, but don't put up with it, get help.

Sorry to hear you're being bullied. You need to tell a teacher you feel happy with, and also your parent or guardians. Many people go through something similar, and there is light at the end of the tunnel. Be strong, get help, be proud of who you are. If you can be strong, the bullies will always lose.

I was bullied at school! Make sure you tell your parents and get them involved with the teachers to stop it. And they will stop it if they are threatened to be kicked out of school.

Also get Marital arts training - its fun and although you should never use it on anyone other than defence it is a great way to boost your confidence and a worry to those who know you have that skill

Good luck

I think that's disgusting. Have you told your parents and have they been into school? I'm sure I don't need to tell you that this kind of bullying comes from ignorance - they don't know what to do with you. Are you in a small school? Have a look what other schools there are in your area and move.

That's how English children or youngsters are here! You must inform your teachers about it! This type of behaviour is NOT acceptable!! There are institutions that protect people from being bullied!!

Good Luck and don't feel bad about it! I had similar problems at school too!!

On behalf of all British people, I apologise. This is shameful and wrong. It happened to me as a British schoolboy - there's something deeply wrong with this country and it's not your fault.

I've since beaten all the bullies by getting a good degree, good job and great wife, but it stays with you.

Don't suffer alone. Tell your family and teachers what is happening.

you must go to the head.....don't stop complaining until something is done. Your school has a duty to you.
If you can collect any evidence this will help, although, yes I know that could be difficult.
I really hope you get this resolved
