This school rule is pretty f*cked up......along with many others........What should i do?

If it's a private school, there's almost nothing you can do. You choose to go there, you have other choices.

If it's a public school, you may be able to do something. Contact the ACLU or a lawyer to find out what, if any, rights you have.

Ah...our wonderful government schools.

You can complain to the principal, school board, or even the state education board, but the people to whom you'll be voicing your concerns are the same ones that make the rules, so it's unlikely that they will change.

Do something useful with your efforts and help people push for school vouchers so that you can attend whatever school you wish. Then you could find a school that doesn't have such a strict dress code.

What is the printed and stated policy in your school handbook? If what this person is saying isn't backed up by the ACTUAL policy then you do not have to cut your hair and it can be taken to the school board. If the policy reflects what you are being told then you are in violation of a policy and can be punished according to policy. What do your parents say?

start a petition. get in touch with the local school board and take matters above the faculty's head. uniforms are one thing, but your hair and style is another. DAMN THE MAN!! stand up for your rights and do not back down....do what you have to...that is really screwed up.....lemme know what happens! oh one more thing, you can call your local radio station and let them know what is going on and they will broadcast over the air and have everyones attention to what is going on! good luck man!

Schools have every right to have a dress/hair code. Most schools do in fact. You need to see what your school's is, and then determine if you are inline or not.
