I was thinking of the baby einstein dvds. But I already have a set, and I can just lend it to them. Are there other nice educational dvds? Or educational toys for that age range? Thanks.

I will be babysitting a 1 year old soon. I can't decide how much to charge. I will be watching her for 11.5 hours every week and sometimes 19.5 hours because she works an extra day sometimes. I wanted to either charge hourly or give a set amount for every week with an additional amount for the extra eight hours. What would be a good price?

Also, we live in the Kansas City area and it is $185/week for 45 hours in a daycare.

I failed to go into detail - the child puts everything and I mean everything in her mouth. We have tried the teething ring around her wrist, her mother has visited both the dentist and her pediatriacian - to no avail - she has even been found peeling paint off of the walls, trying to eat it - the little girl is very verbal, and developmentally on the right track, however, in my 10 years in this business, I have never encountered someone who is so very oral - your criticisms were acknowledged, however, I do not believe one can always look at a situation as "black and white". We had a child psychologist visit the school to observe her - she was speechless! So, if there is anyone out there who might have the "magic trick" to solve this problem, bring it on.....!

OUTSIDE
The big, blue sky,
Smooth moving green grass.
Hot and Cold,
Harsh and Clear.

When there is a harsh storm,
Stay in your dorm.
When it’s clear,
Have no fear!

House to house,
In the city.
In the country,
No neighbors are near.

Hot will burn,
Cold will freeze.

Hot Coco or ice cream,
If you please.

Even though every season you will get the occasional sneeze!!

Am i crazy for doing this? lol okay so for the past 2 years ive been doing daycare for a little boy. I only asked for 1$ an hour.Yea just 1$ an hour. This little boys parents are in their 40's both are mentally challenged to an extent.he was 2 hes now 4.Ive been concerned the whole time, He doesnt talk, he isnt potty trained. Hes really far behind and i thought i would try to help him along, we have four boys and i know kids learn so much from eachother. I use to bathe him and give him clothes after my boys grew out of them.I gave him snowboots (north dakota) because his parents sent him in tennis shoes all the time and you just cant do that up here. Hes ALWAYS sick. They NEVER clip his nails. I know his parents are good to him. Im not doubting that, they just arent all there. Thats the main problem.Well the other day the boys mom came to get him...and she asked me if i ever heard of giving children something to make them sleep. She told me she was going to try it

My daughter's class has 25 students. She feels intimidated by the bigger children. Had a meeting with the teacher. She insists that our daughter CAN do her work. The work they do in class is too fast for her. She is intelligent but slow because she is small. She is being called 'Baby'. As parents we are devastated and don't know how to help our child to boost her confidence. How do we cope as parents? Had meteing with the teacher and she says that our child has to do the work. Our daughter was literrally shaking and tearful at this interview. Why should a 5 year old child be traumatised like this? Please help us to cope with this aweful problem. we give a lot of love and affection to our children.Older daughter is 8. They sleep soundly, at least 10 hours a night. Please help us with your suggestions. If you were asmall child how did you cope? If you have 'small' children, how do you manage? thank you.
