It seems to me like 2 loops requires more coordination or motor skills, because you have to hold the first loop while making the second, and the second loop is hard to make with one hand.

I would teach them using one loop. It is a little more complex, but comparitavely I think it is easier.

Don't forget to double knot.

After 4 boys of my own I've tried it both ways and always went back to the 2 loop bunny ears method. They have great free examples online with detailed pictures and rhymes to go along.

Two for sure. There used to be a story you told to learn to tie your shoes. It had something to do with a bunny and his ears. It was cute and helped a lot of kids learn quickly. Sorry I can't be more specific, it's been a long time.

i think you should try 2 loops because my mom teach both but i found 2 loops is more easier than 1 loop because the child may forget it
