The combine is good. You could look at the chisel plow or field cultivator. Check out sites on John Deer and other machinery. Look at a hay baler, too. Maybe find one of these at Alamo group. What about past farming? There would be a binder and thresher, some belted with steam engines.

Well there are many different types of farm machinery. Hay balers, hoe, shovel, plow, brush hog, grain drill, wind mills, cultivator, silos, combines, cotton stripper, etc.
You can even try and simplify the history of farm machinery.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

I hope you're a student teacher! If you're a fully qualified teacher I suggest you look at http://www.masseyferguson.com/ to find out what the latest gear is or just search on farm machinery. You don't really need us to give you that information do you?

How about hay bailers or combines? Maybe the machines that shake fruit out of trees (not sure what they are called). If all else fails, you could talk about maneur spreaders. Kids love to hear about poop.

find a machine kids dont know about, and is cool. Like the big one that harvests crops, and seperates out seeds and things. Just make sure it's heavy duty, fun, and easy to understand.
