I have been playing around with these stories for a year or two and would just like someone in the know to advise.

Search out a few publishing companies and give them a ring or write to them and explain what you would like to do then they might ask you to send the first chapter. Good luck. Be prepared for knock backs because it is a very difficult thing to get a book published unless you are already famous then even rubbish gets printed.

In these Internet days you need to think differently
Publish the books yourself!
Contact local arts/media/drama college and talk to the
students to help with design and layout (if you need help in that area) - there you will finds loads of new and free talent
Start trying to sell ebook versions on eBay so by the time you are ready to print hard copy you will have an idea of which one is the popular one
you won't get the big advance BUT at least it will be made the way you want it
Good luck
PS and look at

As well as the above advice, I suggest you copy everything and send it to yourself (by recorded delivery) - but do not open it!

That way, you have proof you wrote the stories yourself, and when. It solves any problems at a later date if there is a question over the ownership. You can then open in front of witnesses(but only when instructed to by a lawyer)

Good luck with your publishing efforts!

Go to your local library and find the latest copy of the Writer's Handbook in their reference section. this should give you a comnprehensive list of all UK publishers.

Normally you will have to submit a synopsis and a sample chapter. Be prepared for a lot of rejections....
