our daughter is in preschool and we read and talk to her a lot. she went to nursery last year and was very active in her class. we moved her to a new and bigger school but everytime she comes home, she tells us that her teacher last year is better because her teacher now is always wrong. we often find errors made by the teacher in my daughter's notebooks. she taught them that the plural of grass is grasses. she doesn't know how to use has and have and often misspells words. my daughter tells me that she makes more mistakes in class. i've tried writing her notes and she acknowledges them. i've spoken with the principal and the guidance counselor but to no avail. she still hasn't made any improvements and it's been months already. what shall i do?

I teach 3-year-olds and need some activities that can help to calm them down or keep them focused on me. It would be twice as great if it would involve all students at one time and possibly go with music. Right now I only use musical chairs where no one gets out and each time around we put our hands on a different body part.

I'm desperate, I'm attending a class with a little one tomorrow and everyone (including the adults) must bring their own finger puppets! I know this is a stupid question, but artsy people, what are some easy ideas for making a finger puppet?
