The absolute only toy that I could even consider being a sexist toy would be dress up clothes that are for boys only or girls only. Such as a tie for a boy or a dress for a girl.

Dolls including barbies can not be considered sexist because girls and boys will both grow up to be parents. Playing house is a natural part of growing up.

girls and boys will both grow up to drive cars or trucks.

Not even hair brushes, powder puffs, or pretend make up could be considered sexist toys because a boy can grow up to be a hair stylist or cosmetologist just like a girl. Likewise, a girl can grow up to be a fire fighter or law enforment officer.

If you truly want to get technical even the dress up clothes that I mentioned do not have to be sexist. Boys and girls alike can grow to become clothing designers, work in retail store selling clothes, etc.

Perhaps your instructor has posed a trick question? You might want to try and think outside of the box. :)

oh please...you should tell your instructor to give it up. Give me a break. I suppose boys playing with trucks and girls playing with dolls is sexist. Boys and girls are wired differently and that's a GOOD thing.

Toys that aren't gender neutral and wouldn't be equally likeable by boys and girls. Examples may include trucks, barbie dolls, play makeup, etc.
