Preschool

My daughter just moved over to the KinderCare 3 yr old pre-school room. My son will move there in 1.5 yrs. We are evaluating whether we should keep them there until PK or K or move them to another PK facility or even montessori. We in Germantown, Maryland.

Does anyone have any experience with their kids in KinderCare's 3,4,5 yr old rooms (PK and K)? Do you think they were well prepared for school; did you like Montessori better; would you do it again?

Just trying to evaluate other options.

Do you punish them? Scold them? I want to know in case this question is asked during my interview for this Pre-school teaching position...
I thought that if a student misbehaves I would probably give them a time-out...What do you teachers think? Thank for any help..

My daughter is nearly 3 yrs old and likes to help me whenever she can. I would like to make something with her so she can feel a sense of achievement when its done. She is really smart but i have no idea what to do with her.

Does anyone have and ideas of what to make and possibly how to make it? Maybe something for Christmas? Thanks.

I'm a nanny for a 7, 5, and 2 year old. The 5 year old goes to preschool so she is home most of the day with me and the 2 year old, and she is SO BOSSY to her little brother! She yells at him when he does something wrong, tells him its time to try and go potty, tells him to come give her hugs, at lunch, if he caughs, she gets out of her chair and starts trying to give him the Himlich (sp?) because she thinks hes choking! She is so bossy to her brother and it drives me nuts! What should I do?

He does not respond to questions, he cries alot when at home with parents, but is well behaved in school. He only tells you that he wants this or that (basic things like food, water, use the loo etc.

I need ideas for leading an acitivity that doesn't include arts or crafts for a group of 15 2-3 year olds. I would prefer not to sing with them, but like the idea of some activity combined with reading an age appropriate book.
