Why don't you help her to make a centre-piece so you can put it on the table while you eat Christmas dinner? I used to make them with my mum - get a piece of oasis (that spongey stuff you can stick things in), collect some pine cones and spray them gold or silver, and arrange Christmasey things on it like holly sprigs, then stand a candle in the middle. It's really simple, looks good and I'm sure your daughter would be really proud to see it on the table on Christmas day.

Oh one thing that is so much fun and she can even get her hands messy in the process is Apple Cinnamon Ornaments.
1/2 cup store bought applesauce
1/2 cup cinnnamon
You mix the 2 of then in a large bowl and finish mixing it into a ball with your hands. Roll out and cut into shapes. Take a paper clip and cut in half. Stick that in top for the hanger. Bake until hard. These smell wonderful. You can either paint them when they are done or leave as is.
Handpainted wreaths. You can let her dip her hands in green paint and make a wreath design on paper. She can use her finger to dot on red paint for berries.
Make a hommade wreath or centerpiece for the table
Take those clear plastic ornaments and have her fill it with glitter, sequins, yarn pieces, anything cute and then put the little top back on and let her paint the outside with paint.
Baking anything or making a Gingerbread house is always fun at this age.
Making popsicle stick or tongue depresser photo holders. She can decorate the edges with anything-beads-paint-glitter-etc.
Macaroni necklaces. You can do Christmas colors.

at first...I want people at right here weren't so rude. it is extremely unhappy that somebody won't be able to even ask an effortless question with out rude responses; I surely have observed this with my very own questions. i think of it is great each so often to furnish a new child a sucker and a toy to distract them. My mum and dad did this with my brother some situations a 12 months, and my brother sill has no longer had a hollow area till at present time (21 years later). If it have been my infant, i could provide them a sparkling toy interior the initiating of the ceremony, and while they start to get under pressure and tired of that, wreck out the candy. with any luck you will get fortunate adequate and that they're going to take an excellent nap!

My experiences with children that age have been that most enjoy art projects, particularly those that involve getting messy. Christmas time is a great time to help your child to explore some of her tactile sensations. One idea is to make a Christmas tree out of footprints. Using feet can be a little messy, but most children will smile and laugh joyfully as they squish their toes in the paint. It is also a great experience for kids who are a little reluctant to get messy. Don't worry about how the picture turns out; it's more about the experience. One tip: Have a camera nearby. Chances are you are going to want a picture to remember this art project.

3 year olds need lots of sensory activites. Make some homemade playdough and let her play with it each day. Give her cookie cutters, plastic knives and other child safe tools. This will strenthen her hands and fingers so she can begin writing next year.
For christmas let hger paint some pictures for relatives. For her to feel a sense of achievment the activity needs to be done by her- with out your help. Try to let her do the whole thing.

Well, even though she is only three and people may feel that this will limit what you can do with her, I feel thats not true. You can do anything with her. She can even help you with things like signing christmas cards. Or you can even have her make some. Have her make christmas decorations. One suggestion would be helping her make a chain to count down the days till christmas. Her feeling of accomplishment will come from seeing them displayed proudly around the house. Cooking can even be done with her. Make cookies and have her help you decorate them.

I think you should go to a arts and crafts shop and buy some glue, crept paper, glitter, cotton wool etc and make pictures of Santa etc or you could get baking agrediants and make christmas cakes etc. I hope you have a nice time and that keeps you and your daughter busy!

How about a ginger bread house. A lot of dept store and craft/hobby store carry kits to make them and usually include everything you need. I'm not 2 but It sound like fun to me and I would feel a sense of achievement if I build one, plus you can eat it too!
