Check on Mary Rice Hopkins' site... just look her up on the internet. She is a wonderful Christian children's singer, who has many incredible songs that can be scaled back for a two-year-old. I used to work at a church-run preschool, and I used her music for just about all of our programs. She has a brand new Christmas CD out, so now's a good time to get it. If you practice the songs everyday during circle time or music time, then the kids will pick it up (considering that they are all developmentally able to do so). Any songs that are very repetitive are great. (Like Jingle Bells). There is one song by Mary Rice Hopkins that stands out- Miracle. The chorus is;
Miracle, I'm a miracle.
I think that you'll agree, I'm unique as I can be.
Miracle, I'm a miracle.
You know that I am special, 'cause there's only one of me.
This is easy enough for the kids to remember, and it really hits the "tearjerker" with the parents. Check out Mary Rice Hopkins for some really great Christian children's music!

Definetely "jingle Bells" or maybe for fun get the Mariah Carey Christmas CD...there is a song on there called....All I want for Christmas......ALL the kids will like it. So that maybe if they cant sing you can have them do a little dance. At the age of 2 you can't really expect much but if you put on a little music similiar to that song they should have a good time.

Well - since they are two year olds, you have to keep it short, sweet and simple. That's why Jingle Bells is always a good idea - especially if you can get little bells for them to jingle as they "sing". I say "sing" in parentheses because of course not all of them will sing. :-) Some will just move their legs or arms, some will stand still, some will want to run around. Whatever you choose, if it is short, sweet and simple, it will be a great success with their parents.

You could do Jingle Bells
or Rudolph and add the little extras into the song
(ie - rudolph the red nose reindeer had a very shiny nose (like a lightbulb)
or a fun song that kids can sing that also helps down the road is "Feliz Navidad" its helps them pick up a little spanish and its fun to sing.

For two year olds to learn, they need something fairly catchy... if in doubt try a Wiggles Christmas CD. They have some awesome little songs and dances, that 2 year olds will love, and they are also a mix of contempary and traditional songs.
