As a nanny I advise parents to send children to pre school for half day at age three and then depending on your childs reaction to school maybe a full(6hours) day when age 4. Many schools now have full day Kindergarten so it helps if child is used to full day away from home before they get there.

I guess it depends on the maturity of the child. My son started at 2 years old, but that was out of neccesity, however he learned a great deal and he developed better social skills than most kids. Pre-school made K-4 a lot easier on him because he was ahead of the game most of the time.

3 is the ideal age for a child to start pre-school. My little brother just started and I can honustley say it has been one of the best things we have done for him. He comes home every thursday and tuesday singing a new song and teaching US the words!!! Be sure to keep an eye on his health though. If he is even a little bit sick in any way be sure to keep him home. Have fun and I wish you the best of luck!!!!!!!

if the child is 3 or close to 4 you should start looking into pre-school because by 5 they should have the skills to go to kindergarten

Me and my brother went in as soon as we talked perfectly for little kids I say the age of 3 or 4 should be good enough.

I would say between 3 and 4. Some kids earlier, some later.
