I'm not sure if you are looking for information on a newsletter for preschool teachers or families... I hope this helps:

It is a newsletter for teachers but it has some articles that can be used in a family' newsletter

Besides the answers already given, another avenue to explore is to visit other preschools and ask what they do. Perhaps a call on the phone requesting a copy of the newsletter they send home would be helpful. Another resource would be the teacher's themselves - ask for their ideas and what they would like to see included in the letter. Most of all don't forget that the preschool is all about the children who attend. Highlight them in your newsletter. Every parent wants to see their child's name in the paper. Include pictures if possible. Just make it realistic. It will, in the end, sell your preschool.

Keep it simple. Give your newsletter a cute name that reflects your class. Then put any important dates that are coming up:
"Book Orders due Friday"
"Field Trip October 30"
Then tell what you are studying/talking about that week:
"This week we will be making applesauce."
"We have a new class pet. It is a rabbit. We will be giving him a name."
Name some of the books you will read.
Give the lyrics of a song or fingerplay you are singing.
You can put each item in a shape or box to take up room and use large type.
Give parents the kind of information that will help them talk to their child about school. Songs and fingerplays help parents recognize what the child is singing and parents can reinforce what you are teaching.

The students have better knowledge.
This is a waste of money.
Let them have as a gift a laptop for the best student.
This will make others take to study's better.
