This summer in New York City there is a progam for high school students at Pace University. It's not a residential program, so I would have to commute there everyday from my home on Long Island. However, my father works in the city and could drive me there and back on his way to and from work. Also, it costs $1000, but I told my parents I would be willing to get a job and pay for as much of it as I could. They still won't let me go!! It's an academic program that teaches filmmaking, and since that's the career path I'm interested in, it would be really good for my future. How do I show them what a great opportunity it is?
By the way, I'm (almost) 15 years old.

you must be wondering why i'm so god damn worried huh? well, i'll tell you...

my submission of report cards is going to be this wednesday, march 28, so i'm worried because i might not get into college.

and in the middle of my high school year, my parents had money problems. my dad had to change his model agent career into a call center trainee and my mom quitted her old job and became a teacher.

i'm also afraid coz if i fail, i think i might transfer to another school, repeat high school, and have summer classes.

when i get my grades, my parents (especially my mom) might give me a sermon and ground me for the whole summer.

please help me...

I go to school full time and i started failing. I'm only 16 and i work for 5 days a week from 5 to 9 and i go to school from 8 to 3 EVERYDAY1 My parents dont want me working but i got a GREAT job for a 16 year old morgage company there training me to be a loan officer and you dont need education for it! I am a public school teacher who is right now in the USA on Exchange Visitor Program with approved one year personal leave of absence without pay. This story happened a while ago in Brisbane, and even though it sounds like an Alfred Hitchcock tale, it's true.
John Bradford, a Sydney University student, was on the side of the road hitch-hiking on a very dark night and in the midst of a storm. The night was rolling on and no car went by. The storm was so strong he could hardly see a few feet ahead of him. Suddenly he saw a car slowly coming towards him and stopped. John, desperate for shelter and without thinking about it, got in the car and closed the door, just to realise there was nobody behind the wheel and the engine wasn't on.

I write very, very good essays, and when they are graded, I get a 4 (the highest grade on an essay). Now, I am in Eng Comp 1 as a freshman in college, and we have to have a ten page essay written in 2 class days. We CANNOT take it home to work on.

So, I need some hints to write and get my thoughts down on paper faster.

On our first day, our ten page rough draft has to be written and proof read in an hour and fifteen minutes. Our final copy is due at the end of class the next meeting....HELP!! :D

What is the average I.Q.? because mine is 142...is that normal? My school doesnt tell us ranges, they just give us a number score. And I was wondering where I fall.
