I have never done a Powerpoint based presentation.
I am hoping for some advice, guidance, hints and tips, places to research and any other comments that you would like to make that may help me.

All sensible, constructive answers will be received with thanks.

Many thanks for your help :-)

Two things you can do:
1. In your browser, put in the keyword relating to your topic followed by the word Powerpoint. There is probabaly a presentation out there that you can adapt.
If not,
2. Go to the web sites given below for a tutorial.

Keep it simple.
You can plan your slides before hand by doing a storyboard-like a comic.
Rule of thumb- do not put too much info on your slides, anything more than what could be put on a t shirt is too much, people will not read it.
Stick to one format i.e have the background colour the same on all slides.
Put text on slides by bullet points.
Have at least one image or a video per slide if possible.
Allow 2 minutes max to present each slide.
Always ask if anyone has any questions after the presentation.
With all presentations, follow the 3 C's rule:
It must be Clear, Concise and Correct!
Good luck.

Use the PP Wizard, it's easy. You can't go wrong unless you overdo the graphics, e.g. sliding the words and sentences in from the sides, if you do that you will give your audience what's called Power Point fatigue
