I am a freshman at college and when i moved in with my first roommate i had some problems with him. He snored, he was messy, and overall not a nice person at all. I requested for a new room and roommate, moved out, and i am now happy, well sort of. When i first moved in I gave my roommate $90 for my half of the microfridge and when i moved to ther room that i was going to be sharing another fridge with I asked for the money back. He wouldn't give it to me! I was so mad I yelled at him and now he won't give it back and I don't know what to do. Please help.

I've always changed my mind about what major I wanted to go for. I already have a 2 years associates degree in business, and planned to transfer to a university for a Marketing Bachelors. I'm already 22 though, because I took alot of part time semesters in order to work on starting up a business that I devoted alot of time to. Due to this, obviously, I'm a little older than I should be. I really want to go to Vet School... but I feel like now I'm getting too old, because I would have to switch into Biology for my bachelors (which would be another 4 years) and THEN the 4 years into Vet school. Plus, my dad has been funding school this whole time, so I really feel awful changing my mind. I JUST CAN'T DECIDE! Does anybody have any guidance they can give me? I'm interested in everything, from designing, to computers, to business, to animals.. AHHHHHHHH! Thanks. lol.

At my school in Canada we use the percentage system.. where an A is 86%-100% and a B is 73%-85%. I heard that in US schools though a 90%- 100% is an A.

Will universities caluculate my GPA based on their 90% definition of an A or my province's 86% being an A?

Also, say I averaged like a 92% average throughout high school, but got like 2 Bs in the process....will they calculate my GPA based on my individual letter grades or my overall percentage?

thanks=)

My child's school makes a big deal about class rank but I don't see too many colleges that even discuss it on there admissions pages. Maybe I'm missing something.

It seems strange that a high school would focus so much on this issue because 50% of students no matter what will be in the top half and 50% in the bottom.

I cannot fiqure out why so many employers won't hire me for an entry level IT position I graduated 4 years ago with a degree in Computer Information Systems and have failed yet to land that first entry level in IT. I have applied just about everywhere. I have worked as an adminstrative assitant, subsitute teacher, and para at a school, but have yet been able to get hired in IT industry in these 4 years. I even went back and got a bunch of certifications. A+ , Network+, MCSA, Cisco, but that didn't do anything!

So giving up on the IT industry I am currently in graduate school working on getting a masters in special education, apparently finding entry level jobs with no job experience is very easy in the teaching profession, I see it happen all the times at the schools I have subbed for.

I mean is abandoning the IT industry a right move? I fiqure it is since during 4 years after graduating never could land that IT job, so I fiqure going in education is the smarter .

Any and all answers are welcome, I'm not afraid of long lists.

My mom is outright refusing to let me attend a UC school so she recommended that I attend SDSU instead (a state college). However, the school I originally had my heart set on, UCLA has one of the top nursing programs in the country and that's what I want to major in. So, I was wondering if it was possible for me to attend SDSU for two years (just enough to do my prerequisites). Is that okay? Or is it not recommended?

Do graduate professors give out recommendations?

It's my first semester and I'm getting more involved and need one in order to be part of something. My professor is extremely intimating and already turned down one person last week.

I think that was because she asked in front of me. I couldn't believe she didn't ask in private and she wanted it for something I think she joined something for her spare time. He didn't take it well with her asking. Now that I think about it, she didn't ask come to think of it. Sort of expected it.

Anyway I've been working with him and working very hard in my classes but like I said, I need one from him. I do have someone else lined up but I don't want to ask her. Will if I have to though.

So my question is do graduate professors write them? or what is a good way to get one. I know how to do it in undergraduate but graduate is different.
