I have a C+ average, but the concepts are not firmly embedded in my mind. I really want to become really good at it. Can you offer any suggestions, especially for tests and quizzes. I am in college now and enrolled in a Math Modeling course (Algebra and whatever else).

Practice.! Practice.! and more boring Practice.! is the only way I know. Just have find all the books you can and work all the probems over and over.
A good way to start is with the For Dummies series books.
They have them in
Algebra I For Dummies
Algebra II for Dummies
Trig for Dummies
Calculus for Dummies
You might also want to look into Calculus on DVD. You can their data by going to google then typing Calculus on DVD then look for their ad.
Click on and go to their site. They are all fairly reasonable in price.
Also can get DVD's from past math up through Calculus and Physics.
Most any one set cost if I remember right is a little under $30.
