Maybe it should be allowed in school as a class if students want to take it and learn about world faiths (a pro), or maybe students should be allowed to pray when eating and whatnot to express their own religious faith (another pro). Though I don't think it should be -as the other user said-'forced' on students in any way since yes they would be of different religions. So there would always be people never agreeing with each other or with something, plus I don't think all parents would appreciate the school influencing some religion on their student in the possibility that it conflicts with their own personal beliefs.

I think that personally they should have different places (like outside, a gym that isnt being used at the time, ect) in the morning where kids can go and express their religious beliefs. Im religious and still in school, and it sucks that i cant express my beliefs. what about our rights? I'd like kids of any religion to be able to sit in class or at lunch and pray to whoever they think God is about like help me on this test or bless my food, without being frowned upon for bringing church into school. Most people actually dont care about having religion in school so why are we cattering to the few that do? If they dont want their children being "expossed" to a religion at school then they should seriously consider my idea

I think they should teach World Religions in high school..i think it is important for kids to be educated on all different religions...but it is usually an elective in college...

Religion should be allowed in schools.

Religion should not be promoted by schools.

Individual students and teachers should be allowed to observe their religion while there.

When the Constitution states that Congress shall make no Law establishing religion, it also means that Congress can make no law denying religion.

Unfortunately, this is gleefully mis-interpereted to mean that any semblance of religion can be bashed out of the public view as "illegal".

There should be an elective class kids can enroll in if they want since it is so important for people. But they shouldn't force it on everyone because not everyone is the same religion.

Absolutely not!

It's good to teach religion only if one is majoring in Religious studies or studying to become a priest or other religious authority.

Other than that, religion only serves to stifle academic and educational freedom. It sets moral and spiritual boundaries which don't exist in a free academic environment, and it's a VERY good thing that the common University model adheres to this.
