I have a 4.0/4.5 GPA. I got a 32 on my ACTs. I am involved in: National Honor Society
Varsity Golf
Varsity Indoor Track
Varsity Baseball
Community Service at Local Soup Kitchen
Ping Pong Club

I am a male from Massachusetts and am wondering if it is even worth a shot to apply to Duke. Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you have a very good chance of admission into Duke. I would definitely at least apply if I were you. As always, I would also recommend applying to several other "backup" schools as well, but you are definitely competitive for Duke.

If you want to tip the scales further in your favor, get a few of your teachers to write letters of recommendation, and compose a nice essay about why you would like to attend Duke. Be sure to include what plans you have for after school, and what helped you formulate those goals.

There are never any guarantees, but your ACT and activities are good enough that it is worth a try.
