This is my college computer science class that I am taking.

We are now on our 3rd day of class and the instructor has yet to show up on time.

The instructor could not get the power point to display through the projector so they opted to use the blackboard...( once again this is a computer science class )...something about using the chalkboard in this class seems wrong.

Also the printers are not yet working.......the instructor has assured us that someone is coming to fix it.

1st paper back was graded wrong, when I brought it to her attention she said she must have used the old edition to grade it..........

am I being too picky or is this bad?

I don't want to take more math classes. I'm very interested in health and phys. ed. Can I get my masters in a different subject or do I have to continue with math? Also, how can i become dual certified and possibly be able to teach gym and/or health also? Thanks.

Currently, I am an English major aspiring to a doctoral degree attending at Cerritos college. I have had some of the best instructors, taken the classes that have demanded the most of me, and was always considered "smart". My fall semester started about two weeks ago. As much as I enjoy the lectures and experience from these classes, I can't seem to buckle down and do the assigned work. Is there something missing? What could it be that is not allowing me to do well this semester? Why is it that I cannot get down to work? Any input is appriciated-teacher, professor, or instructors preferred.

It has been a week and I feel like a complete loner. My roomate is always gone even though I think that we get along fine. I like my classes and I have so much that I want to get done here but I do not know if I can do it if I have no one here. I leave my door open, I go to activities and get involved but nothing seems to be working. I distract myself with homework but all my thoughts go back to how miserable I am here. I worked very hard in High School to get here and I don't want to quit but I just cant go this. What should I do?

Well... I have about 3.7 GPA... ASB Pres for my school... recieved award as best Cadet of the year in ROTC... passed 3/4 AP Tests I took last year... Eagle Scout.. and involved in various other clubs and two different sports (Kendo and TKD).

I know it might be a flimsy for Ivy League.. but would me taking only 3 AP Classes this year compared 4 last year make me look even worse? My logic is that I believe by sacrificing one AP class.. I can do better in other classes and spend more time with extracurricular activities such as service projects.

During my first year of school, I major in graphic design. However after taking a intership in the graphic design field, I realize that I don't want to do graphic design. I'm now during my second year of college. During the summer I have picked up some other interest like: catering, lawyer, wedding designer, interior design, and advertising. I don't know which one I passion more. What should I do?

UC Santa Barbara. Does anyone know for sure if one of the majors is Journalism, or anything around fashion magazine editor.

If not, then are there any other school in california, hopefully around LA that have journalism as a major?

I'm starting my senior year of high school and I want to major in journalism when I go to college. I live in New York and I want to go somewhere somewhat close to home, so basically within the Northeastern part of the US. I know that everyone is going to say NYU and BU, but my GPA is only a 3.0 (in other words, a B) so I clearly can't get into those schools. I took AP English my Junior year and I'm taking it again this year, but I don't know if that will make that big of a difference. If anyone knows of any colleges with good journalism programs in my part of the country please let me know. Thanks.

I've just graduated from college and am now going back to take pre-med classes (chem, physics, etc.). I will be in college, taking these undergraduate classes for two years. There is a pre-med, co-ed fraternity on campus that would offer social opportunities that I don't have, as I am a new student and live at home.

Would rushing be a good idea? I am concerned about how it would look to medical schools come application time -- though it is a (n inter?)national fraternity, Phi Delta Epsilon.

I'm a junior in High School, and I really want a job, but, I want to do Extra curricular activities after school since colleges love that. But, if I get a job, I can't paticipate in a lot. So, my question is are colleges really impressed by you having a job the same way as you paticipating in extra curricular activities?

I'm now going into my 3rd year of university studies and my my first while there has been stressful and lonely. I thought joining some clubs (or sororities) might help get me more support, make more friends, get out more, etc.

I find the concept of sororities a little confusing. What is the difference between joining a regular campus club and a sorority? What are the benefits? DO you recommend it? All in all, is it more beneficial to join a "lifelong" sisterhood or just join a couple of clubs that interest me?

Also, it seems to me that sororities are maybe better for younger girls. I'm 23 and live off-campus on my own--I don't need an older "mentor". And I also don't want to feel pressured to spend time with the same people all the time.

What are your experiences and thoughts? Thanks!
