None. The Ivy League is an athletic league, made up of colleges on the East Coast. Many of them were also academically strong, so many people think the term "Ivy League" just means really good school, but it is very specific and therefore no California school, even if far better than any of the Ivies, could become a member of the Ivy League.

There are no (none/nil) Ivy League colleges in California. The Ivy League is an athletic conference comprising eight private institutions of higher education (learning) located in the Northeastern United States. Ivy League has connotations of academic excellence, selectivity in admissions, and a reputation for social elitism. The eight Ivy League colleges are:

1. Brown University - Providence, Rhode Island

2. Columbia University - New York City

3. Cornell University - Ithaca, New York

4. Dartmouth College - Hanover, New Hampshire

5. Harvard University - Cambridge, Massachusetts

6. Princeton University - Princeton, New Jersey

7. University of Pennsylvania - Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania

8. Yale University - New Haven, Connecticut

GPA weighted should be 4 or above. SATs should be 2100 or higher. SAT subject area tests should be above 700. It's good that you have the APs. But the non-existent extracurriculars and killing you! You haven't done anything! I find that hard to believe...you don't have any hobbies or anything...even video games, playing sports for recreation, working a summer job...anything! Your connections and background may help you alot...especially if your father is in with the ivy leagues. Trust me, I've seen a lot of questionable people get in just because they knew "people" and had a lot of money that they could pay their way in. You are in an advantage in this economy because you wouldn't need the financial aid...many colleges are looking for people like you to pay full ride. Make sure your essay is absolutely amazing Other than that, I can't say that you have a very good chance. It's still ivy league and you never know how they pick the people they do. There are so many other applicants who are amazing and have amazing stats with that kind of money and background. Pray hard.

I don't believe there are "true" Ivy Leagues schools outside of the East Coast and Midwest.

These schools all participate in an intermural activity known as the Ivy League.

Technically, however, Stanford comes close. USC is a very distant second.

There are only eight ivy leagues in the country. These are Harvard, Yale, Princeton, UPenn, Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth, and Cornell. Notice that they are all in the Northeast. The name "Ivy League" is a reference to the ivy plants, which symbolize older age, that cover many of the historic buildings of these schools.
However, Stanford is a GREAT school and it has Ivy league standards. It is considered the "Ivy League of the West," and rightly so. Some of their programs outrank the ones in the northeast.

your gpa is okay, but if it's not close to that unweighted then it might be a problem. your SATs are very low for all the ivies. passing APs means nothing; if you're not getting mostly 4s and 5s that's bad. your extracurriculars will definitely raise a red flag. the only thing you have going for you is your father's money, but that's not always enough. you also can't even spell millionaire, so you probably don't belong in an ivy league school.

There are none. But some of the best public schools in California are UCLA and UC Berkely. USC is a private school but it is also very great.
