I am going to a 4-yr university for Design. I want to minor in something completely different but they don't offer this minor at my school. Can I attend my university while also getting a minor degree from somewhere else online? If so, where should I start looking?

I thought an Educational Leave was my best choice but then I found out that if you are not in good academic standing you can't get an educational leave. Iam on probation, so I thought I should just drop out but I don't know how.

Ok. I have been looking at applying to this college for a while, but I have looked at student reviews on it and the people don't seem to like it much. They say it is boring and the food is bad. I don't feel like this is a reason to exclude a college. What do you think? Are these reviews valuable to me and my decision on this college? Thanks so much!

and was wondering how much one's major would weigh into the application reviewers' decision. I'm currently double majoring in Social Welfare and Political Science, but since it's my last year of college, I'm wondering if I should just try to stick with one major and focus on trying to boost my GPA as high as possible.

Why is it that PhD programs are so inaccessable for working adults? I was in one but they had all of their classes and professors office hours during the work day amd even at as a part-time student I was required to read over 2,000 pages a week (yes, per week, and that didn't count the reading for the term's project). A friend of mine decided to do it full-time and he is now 12 years down the road and he still doesn't have his. This is stupid and unfair. I would love to pursue a PhD in a meaningful program but haven't been able to find anything anywhere reasonable. I already have three masters degrees and a dozen years teaching at the collegiate level. What am I to do?

I want to go to Spelman College and major in journalism (they don't have it as a major, but i can make it one). While I'm there, I want to study education (i want to tutor children and model as a side job once i'm out of college). I also want to study psychology and further my studies in spanish and french. That is 5 different courses i plan on taking. Then, once i get my bachelor's in journalism from spelman, i want to go to new york university and get my master's degree in my major which would be magazine writing. i would also like to get a certificate in public relations and get my bachelor's in psychology there as well. lastly, i would like to get a certificate in magazine publishing. That is 4 courses i would be taking there. Is that enough courses for NYU, and do these classes sound about right because i want to be a model/writer/ tutor? I want to be in public relations writing or write for a magazine like CosmoGirl. Thank you and God bless!

I was born in California and lived there most of my life. In fact, I attended school there from preschool and all the way to 10th grade. My family decided to move to Texas during August/September 2006. I am now attending a high school in Texas in which I will complete my last two years of high school. On July I finished my Junior year in Northwest High School and ready to be a Senior. I was wondering if I am still considered a California resident or if I am now a Texas resident since I have been living there for about one year. Keep in consideration that my mom still lives in California though. When applying for college, which one will I be considered? However, I might have to pay out of state tuition if I am no longer considered a California resident anymore. Also, it will be a lot when applying for any any UC. Does one turn a resident of the state in one or two years? If it is two years, am I safe? Will I be paying in state tuition? Thanks!

This is a question for any grad students or faculty that would like to clue me in on how the whole grad school thing works. I'll be graduating in a year with a double major in French lit and English with minors in graphic design and psychology. My immediate plans are to go to France and teach for a year, come back, and do a masters degree in French. During my masters, I was thinking of taking graphic design courses so that I would essentially have a major in design. I don't know if the university would allow me to take courses in design when they pay my tuition (I would be teaching French classes for a stipend). Do you think this would be an issue?

Does Devry have early Decision, I asked a representative but she doesnt know. Early decision is when you send an application to the school in the Fall of your senior year. Then wait for an acceptance letter in the spring.
