I want to transfer to CSULB with a Certificate of Achievement from a community college. But what are the circumstances for that as opposed to declaring yourself as simply a transfer student?

All I know is that in order to transfer, you need 60 units. And for the Certificate of Achievement, you need 18. Is that all there is to it? If you complete any courses that add up to 18 units, you automatically receive the Certificate of Achievement?

Any information about transferring and the certificate can be helpful.

Thanks.

This is my last year of highschool and I've always wanted to be a t.v host for shows like entertainment tonight or TRL. I know I have some big dreams but this is the only thing i could imagine myself doing. And everyone says I'd be the perfect t.v host because i love to talk and i'm very outgoing. I know that i cant just graduate from college and expect to get a job like that but what are the steps i need to take and what courses should i take in college?

My story: I started out high school with a bad outlook on the effort I should put into achieving high grades, which has resulted in me receiving rather poor grades during my first two years of high school (about 3.6 avg gpa), until I realized how bad this was and actually tried my junior year easily getting straight As. I know no school will care about my story but I was wondering if the first two years will hinder my chances of getting into an ivy league school for undergrad.

My SAT scores have consistently been around 1560-1580/1600, will it give enough boost? Or, is it better to attend a decent school and get 4.0 for 4 years and then continue my education at an ivy league school for grad school?

I know I do NOT want to be a teacher, but I will if I have to be. I definitely don't want to teach anything lower than college. Again, if I must. I've always been pretty good at composing my own music and I saw that some colleges provide a major in composing. I thought about this a while ago, as I also thought about going into performance, but I just don't know what kind of jobs I can get with composing. I'd like a steady job that I know I wouldn't have to worry about money. I'm only a senior in high school so I have at least a year (if that) to think about it.
So in short: How sensible would it be to go into composing?

I am going to college in a week or so, and I am having trouble making a decision! I received a scholarship to Wellesley College near Boston, but I live about 3,000 miles away from there! I don't know a soul in Boston or any where near there, for that matter. Should I go to that school because of its prestige? Now here is the problem. I have also recieved a scholarship to a college closer to home. Maybe about 200 miles away. This school is an arts school, and I am hoping to learn animation. Wellesley is not an arts school. . .Should I stay home (keep my family happy) or go because attending Wellesley would be an honor? I received full-scholarships to both.

Okay, so i applied for my school newspaper and didn't make it, but i'm a really good writer only i like to write about fashion, beauty, fitness.etc and sometimes articles about poverty and immigration and the like. I really want to work for a magazine when I grow up maybe become editor one day. Also there's this internship at a magazine and I really want to apply, but to do so you have to write in and submit articles you've written,so i have 2 questions..1)What can I do about the articles thing(other than reapply i already know this) 2) If I where to write at a magazine would they accept me even if I wasn't on my school newspaper but took Jouranlism and majored in English and writing

i moved several hours from home to start college. i'm taking 15 hours - sociology, comp, anatomy and chemistry. i'm worried that i'm going to be so focused on getting lost and not knowing anything about the campus that it will hurt my grades because i'll be too nervous to use the library or the help centers. i really want to do well in college but i'm really nervous. plus i am taking those two science classes, which i'm not very good at. i don't know anyone else that is going to the same school as i am. i think i have a social anxiety disorder so i stress out about everything. any advice?
